April 2023 saw Makke Leppänen, Global Head of Partnership embark on a whirlwind trip to India. He delivered a few keynote couple of speeches along with meetings and interactions with educators, government officials, and principals across India. He also met with our Eduten India team who work tirelessly behind the scenes to provide excellence to our local schools and students.
Makke’s trip to India kicked off with a keynote speech at the Hyderabad Today Conclave that was organized by Pallavi Group of Schools. The lecture, was entitled “ICT in Education for Social and Behavioral Change Through Gamification.” The interesting speech highlighted the importance of using technology to drive social and behavioral change in education. Makke also had the opportunity to interact with various school owners in a program organized by our Media Partner Brainfeed.
After the conference, Makke was invited to address Franchise Partners of Iris & Sakalya Schools and launched the program in 70 Schools of the group. He then visited several partner schools where he saw Eduten in action. He interacted with hundreds of happy and motivated students who benefit from Eduten’s innovative online learning platform. There were smiles all around as he was warmly welcomed by one and all. The trip reaffirmed our commitment to empowering education through innovative technology, as well as working collaboratively with other countries via the Finland Math method. Makke reports feeling inspired and humbled by the energy and enthusiasm of the students and teachers.
Another highlight of the trip was Makke’s second keynote speech at the Capacity Building Program organized by Bhavan Vidyalaya Panchkula in collaboration with the RIAM Group. Dr. (Ms.) Pawan Sudhir, the Head of the Department of Education in Arts & Aesthetics at NCERT, was also a keynote speaker at the event. The speeches contributed to the professional development of local teachers, and both were well received.
In addition to the business aspect of the trip, Makke had the chance to immerse himself in India’s vibrant culture. He traveled through the country with the help of Eduten’s fantastic Business Head of Southeast Asia, Avan Goel. Avan facilitated his smooth travels that went without a hiccup.
Overall, the trip strengthened Eduten’s partnerships in the region but also reaffirmed the importance of empowering education through innovative collaboration and technology.
Eduten would like to thank all the visionary leaders in India who recognize Eduten’s unique value and the team at Bhavan Vidyalaya Panchkula for organizing the Capacity Building Program. We would also like to extend special gratitude to Avan Goel, Sonia Arora, Brainfeed, Iris Schools, and Pallavi Group of Schools who played a vital role in making the trip a success.
